The miniNaturalist Pre-K Program engages youngsters in the exploration of the natural world through fun hands-on activities and games. Emphasis is on observation, sensory skills, and imagination to cultivate a positive connection with nature at an age when children are just beginning to investigate the world around them.
Each month features a new theme. Explore ‘Forest Friends’, ‘Rocks & Fossils’, ‘Incredible Insects’ and many more.
The hour-long program begins with group time led by a Montana Naturalist History Center Naturalist. The second half promotes child-directed learning through art activities, dramatic play, science investigation, literacy, and math stations.
We also have a Discovery Room designed just for young naturalists with a touch table, puppets, and books.
Come learn and play with us!
