*There are two dates available for each bird club every month. You only need to pay for one of the dates in the month and you can join us on both of the dates! You will still need to REGISTER FOR BOTH DATES, so we are able to cap our club size at 10. You will receive an email with two discount codes after you complete your first registration. One of the discount codes will allow you to register for the second date of June, and the second discount code will allow you to register for future month’s bird club meetups for a 30% discount!

Description: Riverside Park is a hidden gem in Lolo with a long trail that follows the Bitterroot River. We will see and/or hear at least 3 dozen species of birds including spotted sandpipers, black-headed grosbeaks and eastern kingbirds. This club will meet twice a month, every month. All experience levels are welcome, and binoculars are available to borrow.

Directions: From Missoula, drive 8 miles south to Lolo on Hwy 93. At the first stoplight in Lolo (Glacier Drive) make a left. Drive .5 mile to Lakeside Drive and make another left. Drive around 1 mile until the road dead ends at Riverside Park.

About the Instructor: Elena Ulev is a Master Naturalist and Certified Interpretive Guide with over 30 years of experience conducting bird surveys and birding for fun. She is an avid eBirder, logging 180 species in Missoula County to date. Elena uses a variety of techniques to help all ages and experience levels learn how to identify birds by sight and by sound.

What’s the refund policy?

The course fee is refundable if a cancellation is made up to 7 days before the event. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after this deadline. In light of changes to programming due to novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Montana Natural History Center will make exceptions to its normal refund policy. These exceptions are as follows:

Any programs cancelled by the Montana Natural History Center are eligible for a full refund.

In the event a program fee can be rolled over to a following cycle or year, that offer will be made available to the paying program participant, and a spot will be reserved for the participant.

If a program is cancelled by a participant due to reasonable health and safety concerns from exposure risk to novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Montana Natural History Center will issue a full refund.

If any participant experiences major illness, injury, or loss of a family member prior to the start of a registered program the participant is eligible for a full refund.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Nope! We will have a list of all the attendees.
