Lee Metcalf Wildlife Refuge is the perfect place to practice your waterfowl identification skills. We may see some traveling migrants and courtship displays. This family-friendly program is enjoyable for any age. We will have binoculars and bird guides to use and several scopes available to get those extra close views. Please come see us again for future Saturday Kids' Activities.  Everyone will have fun on an easy-going nature walk at the Lee Metcalf National Wildlife Refuge during this special Saturday Kids' Activity. The level trail offers opportunities to view birds and animal sign among the cottonwood trees and along the Bitterroot River. Community Discovery Day: Family Nature Walk at Lee Metcalf

Location: Meet at the Lee Metcalf Visitor Center Time: 10:30 a.m. Take your kids on a family-friendly nature walk at Lee Metcalf National Wildlife Refuge. You are bound to see a variety of birds and gorgeous vistas of the Bitterroot Mountains. Master Naturalists Jalalieh Morrow and Annie Bernauer will lead you along a paved trail providing time for child-centered exploration. Guide books will be provided to help identify birds and plants.
