SUMMARY:Saturday Kids' Activity: Geology Is Everywhere: Missoula Rocks!
DESCRIPTION:Drop in any time between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. for a hands-on kids’ activity! \nAttention\, (junior) geology enthusiasts! Join us for an exciting series of touch and learn sessions on geology. Master Naturalist and geology/earth sciences educator Jamie Watson will be leading these drop-in sessions the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month from April thru July. \nGeology is everywhere! In April\, Jamie will be sharing about the rocks and minerals of the Missoula area\, including mineral identification and rock locations. Learn about the cool rocks around Missoula…and where to find them! A map will be provided to use in April’s activity and in the months ahead\, so you can add in the locations of the different kinds of rocks we’re learning about and go see them for yourself! \nCost: Free with membership / cost of admission.
