Spring Break Family Naturalist Programs

Join us to explore the Fort Missoula Native Plant Garden on Tuesday and/or Thursday from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. this week for a free, socially distanced program designed for elementary-aged students and their families. Each day we’ll have three naturalist-themed trails set up for your family to enjoy at your own pace to help you explore the natural world! Masks are required for all participants, and please feel free to bring your own binoculars, naturalist journal, and curiosity as we observe the natural world around us!

Tuesday, March 16th: What is a Naturalist?
Join us to explore the Fort Missoula Native Plant Garden through the lens of a naturalist! We will have three naturalist-themed trails set up with activities along the way to help you stay socially distanced as you make your discoveries.

Thursday, March 18th: Tools of a Naturalist
Join us to explore the Fort Missoula Native Plant Garden using naturalist tools! We’ll use microscopes, magnifying glasses, and binoculars to get up close to nature and record our observations.

Cost:  FREE! But registration is required.
