Ninepipe Wildlife Refuge Birding Experience
April 15 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm$30 – $40
Location: Ninepipe National Wildlife Refuge
Date: Thursday, April 15
Time: 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Join Pat Jamieson on a day of birding discovery in the gorgeous Ninepipe National Wildlife Refuge. We will meet at the gift shop at the Ninepipes Lodge and then caravan to a series of pullouts along the perimeter of the reservoir. You are sure to see a large variety of waterfowl in breeding plumage and behavior. Some of these birds are here to stay for the season, others are migrating through.
This program is suited to any level of bird enthusiast! Pat will talk about how to recognize and identify the birds we see in a beginner-friendly fashion. She will also discuss natural history notes about the birds, providing a look into their fascinating lives. Potential birds we might see include: Goldeneyes, Ring-neck Ducks, Ruddy Ducks, Scaups, Northern Pintails, Canvasbacks, and so much more.
Pat Jamieson is an avid birder, excellent instructor, and retired ranger from the National Bison Range. She has taught people of all ages how to identify birds and enjoy the pleasures of the practice.
