miniNaturalist Pre-K Program
February 28, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Thursday, repeating until May 30, 2019

The miniNaturalist Pre-K Program engages young children in the exploration of the natural world through fun, hands-on activities and games. Emphasis is on observation, sensory skills, and imagination to cultivate a positive connection with nature at an age when children are just beginning to investigate the world around them.
Each month features a new theme:
January: Animals in Winter
February: Diggin’ Dinos and Fossils
March: Wild River Animals
April: Spring Birds
May: Spring Surprises
No programming June-August.
September: Forest Friends
October: Creepy Crawlies
November: Deer, Moose, and More
December: Coyotes, Foxes, and Wolves
The hour-long program begins with group time led by a Montana Naturalist History Center Naturalist. The second half promotes child-directed learning through art activities, dramatic play, science investigation, literacy, and math stations.
We also have a Kids’ Discovery Room designed just for young naturalists with a touch table, puppets, and books.
Come learn and play with us!
Dates: Every Thursday, September – May
Time: 10:00-11:00 am
Admission: Free with admission. (And FREE for members!)
