Learn about climate change and earth’s processes with Dr. Steven W. Running, Regent’s Professor Emeritus as he demonstrates moving data on the Magic Planet.

The Magic Planet is a digital video globe that provides stunning visuals of the earth and other planets. Think of it as a powerful computer with a spherical screen.  It can take students to any planet in the solar system or it can display important global phenomena such as climate change, plate tectonics, earthquakes and weather.

Former University of Montana Professor of Ecology Steve Running was part of the team who received the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for its work on climate change. He will use the Magic Planet to illustrate complex global concepts in an amazing and unforgettable way. Join us!
