Join citizen scientists across the globe! The Great Backyard Bird Count is a way for you to watch, count, and record the birds you see around your home or neighborhood. Contribute valuable information with your participation! This year we will be holding a count at the Montana Natural History Center. We will bird outside the center and along the Kim Williams trail. This event is perfect for beginners! Learn how a bird count works, how to enter data, and how to identify our most common local birds. Kids are welcome; we recommend ages 10 and up.
The Great Backyard Bird Count is an inter-organizational effort between the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, National Audubon Society, and Birds Canada.
