Geology 4-Part Brown Bag Lecture Series

LOCATION: Montana Natural History Center
Join geologist Bruce Baty for a 4-part series of illustrated geology lectures. This program provides an overview of geological concepts through specific examples. Bruce will guide you on a geologic tour of Glacier and various Utah National Parks, discuss the eruption of Mt. Saint Helens, and demonstrate the stories rocks tell if we pay close enough attention. See uplift, volcanism, cross bedding, processes of sedimentation and erosion, and much more.
- Class 1: Geology of Glacier National Park
- Class 2: Geology of Utah State and National Parks (Zion, Bryce, Canyonlands, Arches, Snow Canyon, Goblin Valley, San Rafael Swell, Coral Sand Dunes)
- Class 3: Mt. Saint Helens: The Eruption and the Aftermath
- Class 4: Neat Rocks that Tell Stories and Rock Identification (bring in a rock for Bruce to I.D.)

The course fee (minus a 25% administrative fee) is refundable if a cancellation is made up to 7 days before the event. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after this deadline.
