Fourth graders and their families are invited to join naturalists from the Missoula Insectarium, the Montana Natural History Center, and the Lolo National Forest for a 1-hour guided nature hike starting from the Pattee Canyon Recreation Area, Group Picnic Site. The hike will not exceed 2 miles in total length and elevation gain will be moderate. Options are available for those unable to hike the full loop trail. You can arrive anytime between 10 am and 2 pm to join a hike. Meet us at the Pattee Canyon picnic area or get a ride from us! We will have free transportation provided by Missoula Parks and Recreation to the start of the hike, running from 9:40-2:30 with continuous return trips. You can meet our drivers at Silver Park next to Ogren Park Allegiance Field. Look for signs at the north end of the parking lot.
