Discovery Day: Winter Plant Walk
January 25 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm$5
Date: January 25
Location: Montana Natural History Center
Time: 1:00-4:00 pm
If you think you can’t identify plants in the winter, you’re wrong!
Join members of the Montana Native Plant Society in a slow walk along the Clark Fork River to identify trees and shrubs in their winter condition. By the time we’re done, you’ll recognize your friends even without leaves and flowers.
We will start inside with a slide show, tea, and hot cocoa. Our instructors will talk about using buds for identification and how to get the most from your special winter ID handout. Then we will venture along the Kim Williams trail to find shrubs and trees.
$5 suggested donation, MNHC and CFNPS members free. Registration will open on December 2. REGISTER HERE
