The Montana Natural History Center currently holds two separate endowment funds. The first endowment fund is held at the Montana Community Foundation. The second endowment is a building fund quasi-endowment and is held and managed at MNHC.

We welcome and encourage gifts into either of these endowment funds to help us achieve our mission of connecting people with nature in perpetuity. Endowments are a great way to leave your legacy of nature education and stewardship in Montana. Named legacy funds, in your name or in the name of a loved one, are available starting with a gift of $10,000 or more.

You can fund your endowment through cash, securities, estate gifts, life income gifts and other gifting methods.

In fact, if you live in Montana and would like to save up to $10,000 on your state taxes while also supporting the Montana Natural History Center you may be interested to learn about the Montana Endowment Tax Credit. For more information please visit the Montana Community Foundation’s Montana Endowment Tax Credit webpage.

Endowment gifts are all unique. If you’re interested in learning more about setting up an endowment to support the Montana Natural History Center please contact Mark Schleicher at 406-327-0405 ext. 206 or mschleicher@montananaturalist.org.
