What’s happening outside
The Big Dipper, Ursa Major, is at its
lowest point in the sky. Look for October's Harvest Moon early in the
month. Larch needles turn yellow and then fall off.
Short and long-tailed weasels molt into their dense white winter coats.
Depending on the weather and elevation, grizzly bears may start to
den for the winter.
The Montana Natural History Center is your base camp
for discovery.
Note NEW! Fall/Winter Hours: Tuesday-Friday
from noon–5
pm and Saturdays noon-4 pm. Bring your family to enjoy fun
